Yamaha Continues to Upgrade Its SMT Intelligent Placement Solutions, with the YRM Series Leading the New Energy Vehicle Electronics Smart Manufacturing Sector
Recently, Yamaha Robotics has been continuously refining its one-stop intelligent SMT solutions. Leveraging the next-generation YRM series mounters, AI vision inspection systems, and the YSUP smart factory software, the company is making strong inroads into the new energy vehicle electronics, industrial control, and high-end industrial control board markets, while steadily consolidating its position in the high-end placement equipment market.
With the growing demand for new energy vehicle electronic control units, BMS (Battery Management Systems), and power modules, the market's requirements for placement accuracy, stability, and flexible production capabilities continue to rise. Yamaha's flagship model, the YRM20 dual-lane modular mounter, supports a wide selection of interchangeable placement heads, achieving a maximum placement speed of up to 115,000 CPH and placement accuracy of ±20μm in high-precision mode. It can stably handle everything from 0201 micro-components to large irregular-shaped devices, making it suitable for mixed production scenarios with high-mix and high-volume requirements.
On the software front, Yamaha continues to iterate its YSUP intelligent manufacturing platform, adding features such as intelligent auxiliary configuration of printing parameters and AI-powered visual image judgment functions. These enhancements effectively reduce NPI (New Product Introduction) debugging time, lower AOI false alarm rates, and alleviate the pressure on production line operators. Additionally, the hardware supports predictive maintenance and remote fault diagnosis, helping factories reduce unplanned downtime.
In terms of new hardware offerings, Yamaha has launched the YRH10W hybrid placement equipment, which is compatible with both 12-inch wafers and large-size PCBs. This solution bridges the gap between SMT placement and bare-die die-bonding processes, targeting the power module and semiconductor packaging markets.
In the domestic Chinese market, a large number of EMS factories and new energy component suppliers continue to expand their Yamaha production lines. At the same time, the growing installed base of equipment has driven steady increases in demand for original accessories such as IO cards, servo drive cards, vision cards, encoder cables, and pulleys. Industry analysts believe that amid the high-growth cycle of the automotive electronics sector, Yamaha SMT equipment—known for its stable performance and comprehensive after-sales service system—will continue to secure market orders.
